Deadpool Movie Concept Art

Artist Joshua James Shaw released concept art he created for the Deadpool movie, as well as some background into the process of designing the Deadpool suit. [SOURCE]

Tim, being the sweetheart he is, came up to the concept department and mentioned "I'm hoping Josh can help out with the suit design". It was obviously very flattering, but it almost sounded like a request. Later on you tend to realized his "suggestions" and mild requests are actually loosely veiled decrees.

I was pretty darn thrilled, Tim was on board to direct and the CG test footage was about to begin. I started by gathering as many of my favorite Deadpool images as I could find and put them into a ridiculously large jpeg for reference. There wasn't much time for the design process and they needed to get the CG model started as soon as possible, I miraculously only ended up doing one design!
