Fan Link Friday 05/15/2009: Deadpie

Shrykeman sent in this picture of the Deadpool key lime / fudge / strawberries pie he made, named Deadpie.

Update: Shrykeman has left the following comment with the recipe:

Shrykeman here. I sadly can not take credit for the construction of this tasty masterpiece, but I can post the recipe from my friend anna who did.

The key lime filling:
3 egg yolks
14 ounce can of sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup of lime juice

Mix, try not to eat the filling raw, pour into a graham-cracker crust, and bake at 350 for 15 minutes. To keep from eating all the strawberries while it bakes, start the chocolate topping:
1/2 stick of butter
1/4 cup of sour cream
2 HEAPING tablespoons of cocoa

Cook this over medium heat, stirring constantly. When fluid and very fragrant, turn off the heat. Add powdered sugar to taste, a little at a time to keep it from getting too sweet. Restrain yourself from eating it all with a spoon. Pour this over the finished pie. Let the pie sit at room temperature for 10 minutes, then chill. Top with strawberries and oreos. Devour without the use of your hands.

Now if only it regenerated.

Dude, that last comment had me in stitches!!! "Now if only it regenerated". I mean, " LOL"!!!

I never thought spreading the word of the BigRedPool could be so "sweet"... (Oh, that was so cheesy, I love it!!!LOL!).

Why is it that Americans don't specify tarts, preferring to just refer to anything with a pastry base as a pie? It's loopy, I tell ya.

looks like my new birthday cake ;P

Tarts? You mean like, Pop Tarts? j/k! I specify tarts, but I'm pretty sure this is a Key Lime pie, not to mention, Deadtart doesn't have the same ring to it.
