no he never says he is going to be full suited he just says the reason why he wears the mask is in the movie.

Well I can't wait for Ryan Reynold's as Wade Wilson. I think it will be the best part of the movie. I am not to sad that Deadpool will be different, the essence is Wade anyway.

see we had nothing to fear

I like the way he put it, that he plays the creature that will eventually become Deadpool. I'm so psyched about the posibility of his own movie.

cool interview!!! I think Ryan didn't answer the mask and costume question was because he's not wearing and had he said that all the Deadheads would have been pissed off and say that they're not going to the movie.

what we're gonna see is Wade Wilson. Hopefully we'll get to see him get transformed too Deadpool and just maybe at the end will get to see a little Deadpool costume that leads to a solo Deadpool movie

Atleast we know when its all over, if it is a travisty, that ryan had nothing to do with it. All im saying is, if they are going to successfully pull off a spin-off, then the end has to have some sort of return to wilson from weapon xi if thats the way they go. You have to see weapon xi returning to something close to deadpool/scarred wilson or else they will never generate enough buzz to do the spin off because everyone will be too mad.

The only reason i'm still on for the ride.. is that in the comics they haven't really said what happend to deadpool much predeadpool. So it'll be interesting. i'm still in..

A few things have been written about pre-deadpool. Weapon X: First Class #2 has some story in the back, and also Deadpool -1 Flashback has a good back story in it. The Joe Kelly run has hidden info about his past in it as well.

Bring Joe Kelly back.

I am glad this happened, even though Fox screwed it up, than him being DC Flash. I hate DC so much, the only thing worth while from them is Batman comics and the Nolan directed films. I would accept Reynolds in a Nolan direction Batman flick. Riddler maybe?

Those did have flashbacks, but there is still missing time between mercenary Wade Wilson joining Weapon X and "Deadpool" being flushed out of the program and joining said Deadpool.

We know he's a guy with cancer who gets regen synthetically. But we never see what made Weapon X say he failed the system and was of no use to them at the time.

If he was meant to be Weapon XI, and have all these powers (essentially a Mimic-like Weapon X machine) but his own body broke down and he could only retain regen, that could explain it.

until now with daken there was no such thing as weapon xi in the comics. so when wade was there there was not a weapon xi program, because they called garrison kane weapon x 10 years after wolverine escaped

Ryan Reynolds as the Riddler? That would be awesome! Amityville Horror meets Reynold's quick wit.

F&*# yeah that would be sweet

Didn't they have a story line in New X-Men when Morrison was writing dealing with the Weapon Plus program? I thought Fantomex was Weapon XI or something like that. Crap now I gotta dig through my back issues.

See i knew this would happen, i've been saying it for ages.

Weapon XI is the experimented on Wade Wilson, then Weapon XI fails, goes wrong and what is left is the failed experiment Deadpool we all know and love.

Remember: Weapon XI was mentioned by Sublime during Morrison's New X-Men run.

It's make sense. They made Wolverine, Wolverine runs wild like Hulkamania, so they rush Weapon XI to stop Weapon X. The rush means we get an incomplete and faulty experiment in Wade Wilson.

There is a VIDEO of Ryan Reynolds talking about his role as Wade Wilson/Deadpool. You can watch it here...

I'm a new Dead head, but as I understand it, Wade washed out of the weapon x program because his regen power didn't take. So they flushed him into the Workshop. after being tortured in the workshop "deadpool" for x amount of time, they finally decided to off him, and that was when his regen kicked in, cuz he was having the love affair with death and all that yada yada yada. cursed with life and whatnot.

Ryan Reynolds really is the perfect actor to play Pool. His comedic timing is at times priceless. Lets just all hope fox and reynolds do a good enough job that Pool gets some buzz and gets his own flick.

The charachter of Deadpool is what matters. if they fudge his back story here and there to make a movie, it wont break my heart.

This is cool and all, but there's one thing that I don't quite get from the interview. Ryan says that not only does he play Wade Wilson, but also the creature that will become Deadpool.

Now, this must mean that Scott Adkins won't be taking over the role completely, but he's most likely going to be Reynolds` stunt double. I say this because some websites have Adkins slotted in the official role of Weapon XI.

But this clears things up abit, Ryan is Wade from beginning to end, except a for few stunts around the end I guess.
BTW, this is my first post on the website! Glad to be in the company of fellow Deadpool fans!

welcome, if you don't mind me asking, howd you find this site?

>>> the metal madman

Thanks for the video link.

I really think Reynolds is a great choice, but the ending of this movie and what they do with our man Wade is the most important aspect for me with the whole movie.

Its pretty much a given that they are taking liberties with Deadpool, making him Weapon XI, the baraka blades, the eye blasts, and the teleporting.... but I can get past all that as long as they tease it appropriately for a faithful to the comics Deadpool solo flick. That video link says Reynolds is on board for a movie like that.

I kept going to google for new deadpool updates for Wolverine Origins and Hulk vs. Wolverine. I found that the most helpful and consistent site was right here, so I had to get involved sooner or later.

what people dont get is that weapon X put a crap load of stuff into deadpool, basically tested everything on him. The laser looking deadpool isent completley scarred those are surgery marks like he was prepping for the same crap wolvy went through.

Weapon X went after cyclops to take his power then they used deadpool as a test rat and put what cyclops had into him. Then deemed deadpool weapon 11.

Its weird and fox butcherd the character but what more can you expect. at least well get to the essence of wilson and hopefully see what happens in the future.

Ok, so this will be my first post on here. Let me just say that I am a huge Deadpool fan and have been poo'ing myself over this adaptation for some time.

Here's the deal:
1. Reynolds is perfect as wilson in the beginning from the few scenes he is in.
2. Anyone getting all worked up (that sounded lame) over the workprint needs to chill. It's missing CGI and a bunch of scenes. These scenes are apparently with reynolds since A) The director wanted more of his backstory and B) Reynolds was busy and had to shoot his scenes later.
3. SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT
Weapon XI is either Wade or a clone. Weapon XI is decapitated in the end and in a huge explosion. We do see that Weapon XI has an incredible healing factor, so perhaps the expolsion causes his healing factor to work really, really hard and thus causes him to lose his synthetic powers (arm blades, eye lasers, teleportation) and become the merc we love. His healing factor would slow a bit as well and allow him to cut open that sewn shut mouth.
