Okaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyy........
So its all out in the open, we all know what to expect in the movie, I'm still going to see it. At least RR's heart is in the right place. Its hard not to dislike this guy. Its like he already was DP since the beginning. That's some serious training he did for the role. Good job RR.

Sounds like they kept the cancer as part of his backstory. Cool.

He has the cancer, comedy & badass-ness. If the Baraka arms & Cyclops eyes get taken off eventually & we get something like one of the costumes he wears in the comics (Classic Red/Black or Red on Black would do) we'll have a great version of Deadpool.

I don't know what you lot are talking about, it's still gonna not be our deadpool at all, sure there'll be Wade Wilson, but no deadpool.

Was i the only one who noticed that the end of the article said the movie would be coming out April 29th? I thought it was May 1st. Did they move up the date?!

Dirty Dom said...

No its probably a UK magazine. in the UK Wolverine opens April 29th and many other countries (including mine) it opens april 30th.
I'm gonna see it one day before you do:D (but sadly thats the only good thing in hungary:( )

As a cancer survivor, I'm glad they kept that part in.

People need to stop thinking dp. This is origin. This is wade Wilson plus if all goes well he'll loose all the crap for a spin off. The best part I really like is that it does seem like wade will have a good fight with wolvie... Wolvie/Wade 1st fight LOL there has been a lot

I actually feel a bit better about the whole Deadpool situation, this is an origin of Deadpool, whether or not it is the one we wanted, remains to be seen. But I at least feel better about it. Although I still wish they could at least give us a little of breaking the fourth wall.

I think the most telling was the bit where he says 'if they manage to turn him into the guy from the comics I loved' (paraphrased) that he'd do a stand-alone.

Meaning we're not really getting the guy we want for this movie.

But I like that fact that it won't be a surprise, now.

thanks for the article, this puts me at a little more ease -- the main reason being they kept his cancer as a part of Wade/DP...that was the core thing missing in all the speculation prior to this. the "liberties" are still 'meh', but the character is pretty much there.

the 'adamantium in his bloodstream' thing kinda has me intrigued, really...

In comics we really only know about Deadpool and wade. It's a point in his life that hasn't really been told much. I love the cancer & every thing is true. The fact that DP (most likely) being a failure (killing wolvie) in the movie is kinda going to make me sad

Well Deadpool is a failure. If he fails in this movie then I will be even happier.

Wade Wilson joins Weapon X after Stryker says he can cure his cancer. But what Wilson doesn't know is that Stryker has got plans for him. Stryker sees him as a dead man walking already, with the cancer and all. So he uses Wilsons body in his quest to create the ultimate mutant, Weapon XI. This adds the sympathy to Wilson's plight which in the long run, could work out for us DP fans. Audiences today demand more than a loud mouth bad ass, making Wilson into a lab rat will add more depth to him, get the audiences on his side, make him popular, and we know what that could lead to right?

Then I would guess that right at the end, Weapon XI is defeated by Logan and Creed and the healing factor sends his body into overload, causing it to reject the other augmentations. Leaving the failed, rejected experiment we know and love from the comics...Deadpool.

^ That's like poetry, man... If the movie is anywhere near as awesome as that then "Hells yeah!"

This movie is awesome. Deadpool is kick@%% when you see him at the end with a whole lot of stolen mutant power put in him. WEAPON XI !!!

"WADE if it wasn't for your mouth, you'd be the perfect solider" - Stryker.
