New Interview With Daniel Way and Preview Art From Deadpool #9

CBR's X-Position this week is an interview with Deadpool writer Daniel Way, which includes four pages of preview art from Deadpool #9. In the interview Way reveals a number of things, including that Bob, Agent of Hydra will be back in the series soon, that he has definite plans to include Blind Al in the series, and the return of the letters column to the series. The preview art from Deadpool #9 also confirms the return of Taskmaster in the comic. Thanks to Christian for the tip. [SOURCE]

Poor deadpool, woman are so cruel to him :(.
All have been cruel, Vanessa, Siryn,Typhoid Mary,The Nurse Rosario and now Black Widow too.

Cupid is such a beach to him.

Only good Blind Al takes care of wade , good she's returning.

Finally, it was time they said something about siryn. And I really want to see Deadpool cracking the lame clone's ass!

Romantic interests ha...

At the other hand! YES! TASKMASTER!!!

Well, I'm glad to see that Blind Al is back. I never expected that to happen. Hopefully the rest of his former supporting casts find a way in one way or another.

LOL...this looks awesome. Right in the NUTS!!! Those women, look out I tells ya.

It seems weird that in #8 deadpool says we'll see him get the grappling gun in issue #9, yet he appears to be fighting the tbolts in #9, so maybe there's some flashbacks involved? Either way, it's looking like magnum opus will be the best arc since the intro in Secret Invasion..can't wait for part two in the next thunderbolts!

I really hope Daniel Way adds more content...

Isn't Taskmaster the leader of the Shadow Initiative? i kinda lost track of them after Secret Invasion, last thing i heared they where going half way around the world to kill Hardball.

The double sized origin issue sounds great. It looks like this series gon' be a lot better with time (i hope so)

I don't think someone who doesn't care about a character should be allowed to make an origin story!

Considering the huge turd that is "Wolverine Origins", I pray Way never writes a DP Origin. I halfway want him off of the comic now. He started out strong but now it doesn't really feel like there's any direction.

dWAY sucks. 2 interviews and still fails to show me that he knows/likes DP.

Someone needs a petition to get him off of Deadpool. lol

pitalla said...

yeah, he fails to show that he is excited about deadpool and likes the character.
It feels very mediocre or like if it was just another title to do.

He can go and please himself with he's wolverine and dakken. But he better no screw with deadpool anymore, to be honest after magnum opus, I would like Joe Kelly back..

People! Shall we make a huge petition?

I will agree that Way needs to be asked to leave, but they need a writer to replace him. I am afraid that they have no one to replace Way with and Deadpool's series will be done.

I think thats no Taskmaster, is one of the Thunderbolts in disguise, the one who played the Green Goblin in the last issue

They have Joe Kelly at marvel right now, and as we know he is like deadpool's father, he loves the character and had intentions on having deadpool in the spiderman comic that he is currently writting so...

This is it! WE COULD HAVE JOE KELLY AGAIN!

Fuck yes @ Taskmaster returning

Now if Marvel would just get him out of his pirate clothes and into his Udon merc-gear, Taskmaster would be walking perfection.

Anonymous said...

That was the best Taskmaster costume ever!

There is no "way" we can let him make and ruin an Origin book for Deadpool!

Anonymous said...

NO WAY! He MUST NOT! do an origin book for deadpool.
If someone makes that it has to be Joe Kelly and No other!

some of you people are so anal... D-Way isn't doing that horrible of a job... don't get me wrong though, he's not doing an incredible job either... but we're only on issue 8... i can see these complaints being justified if we were on like issue 15 and it was still going down this road... but give the man some time...

and wolverine origins is badass... the only thing that was fucking up that series was Steve Dillon's shitty art...

Anonymous said...

i agree with the steve dillon comment but the art has gotten alot better. i enjoyed the dark reign tie in

Anonymous said...

wtf I cant post comments on the anouncement from above >:(

Anonymous said...

i agree, that steve dillon can't draw for shits and giggles.

Also, I do think they should switch Way with another writer-- he totally fucked up years of Deadpool writing...

Anonymous said...

yeah, me too.
He fucked up with deadpool , and to be honest he is a very bad writter!

KICK HIM OUT AND BRING JOE KELLY!

Roleplay Adventures said...

I remember Joe Kelly's stories being random with no purpose.

Daniel Way is a excellent writer. I hope he stays.

I am REEEEAAALLYYYY disappointed with Daniel Way's treatment of DeadPool. I like what he had done
in Woverine Origins and Ghost Rider, but he's just not giving Wade his dues. Way obviously
doesn't see DeadPool as a serious character so he's not treating this title seriously:
hardly any good merc action and the hallucination/multiple voice narrative is a great concept
but doesn't work well with Way's lame humor.
If he doesn't improve SOON, they should bring back Nicieza, Kelly or Simone.
